Dr. Glen A. Barden is retired from private practice as an orthopedic and hand surgeon at Watson Clinic in Lakeland, Florida. He currently serves as a volunteer at Lakeland Volunteers in Medicine Clinic. Dr. Barden served with World Medical Mission at Tenwek Hospital in Kenya during the summer of 2021 and deployed with the Samaritan’s Purse Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) to Ecuador, Iraq, and the Bahamas. He has also gone on several short-term mission trips with Health Volunteers Overseas. Dr. Barden received his medical training at Emory Medical School, Vanderbilt University, and Duke University. He also served for two years in the U.S. Army at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. “I have attempted to be an instrument of the Lord in any setting,” says Dr. Barden. “I give thanks to the Lord for the opportunities of service He has allowed me to participate in.”
