Barry Jessen presents “Medical Professionals: Identifying and Assisting Victims of Trafficking.”
A farm boy who was educated in environmental management and who cut his teeth in coal mining and truck driving, Barry brings a diverse range of skills and experience to protection issues. This experience has been a solid platform for his 13 years of living and working in Asia, addressing the issue of human trafficking. Though passion plays a significant role in the fight against human trafficking, Barry believes the four pillars of successful programming are Data Driven Programming, Empowerment, Awareness, and Collaboration.
Barry passionately believes, “The fight against human trafficking brings us to where people are hurting, when they are hurting. This is where we as Christians need to be, being the one who crosses the road to bring help and love!”
