Dr. Phil Fischer presents, “Top Ten Papers on Global Child Health.”

Dr. Phil Fischer studied medicine at the University of California, Irvine, pediatrics at the University of Utah, and tropical medicine at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. 

He practiced and taught general pediatrics in central Africa from 1985 through 1991.  He is a professor of pediatrics at the Mayo Clinic, has done research related to nutritional deficiencies, and is co-editor of the American Academy of Pediatrics’ Textbook of Global Child Health. 

Dr. Fischer lives with his wife Juli in Minnesota. They have five grown children and two grandchildren.
